The material
behind the bag
Every Myeisha bag begins with a decision: the right leather. Here you’ll find what sets our materials apart — and why that choice matters so much.
Nubuck
Velvety soft. Refined. Unmistakable.
Nubuck is a cowhide leather that is finely buffed on the grain side. This creates a characteristic, velvety surface that feels pleasantly soft to the touch — while producing a natural depth of colour.
It is more durable than suede and develops an individual patina over time, making every bag truly one of a kind. Light and shadow play with the texture — the tone shifts subtly depending on the angle.
Nappa
Supple. Timeless. Luxurious.
Nappa refers to a particularly soft, full-grain smooth leather — typically from lamb or cowhide. Its smooth, slightly lustrous surface gives every bag an elegant, refined appearance.
Nappa is easy to care for, resistant to dirt, and reliably holds its shape with daily use. It is the material for women who appreciate quality in every detail — without compromising on function.
Print Animal Design
Bold. Expressive. Hand-selected.
Our Print Animal Design bags are crafted from genuine leather refined with distinctive animal embossings — zebra, leopard, snake. Not a print, but an embossing that transforms the material itself.
Every pattern makes a statement. These bags are made for women who know what they want — and aren’t afraid to stand out. Namibia in all its wildness, carried on your arm.
General Leather Care
A Myeisha bag is an investment — in quality, in craftsmanship, in a piece of Namibia. With the right care, your bag will accompany you for a lifetime.
Protect from moisture
Leather and water don’t mix well. If your bag gets wet, dry it slowly at room temperature — never with a hairdryer or near a heater. Waterproofing sprays offer additional protection, especially for nubuck.
Clean regularly
Remove dust and light dirt with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For nubuck, we recommend a dedicated nubuck brush. Never use harsh cleaning agents or solvents of any kind.
Condition the leather
Treat smooth leather (nappa) regularly with a high-quality leather cream or lotion. This keeps the leather supple and prevents dryness and cracking. For nubuck, use nubuck-specific care products only.
Store correctly
Keep your bag in a cool, dry place — ideally in a dust bag, never in plastic. Stuff the bag lightly (e.g. with tissue paper) to help it retain its shape. Avoid direct sunlight.
Treat stains immediately
With stains, act fast. Blot — don’t rub — with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, consult a leather specialist. Never attempt to remove deep stains yourself with household remedies.
Print Animal Design
Embossed animal designs require special care. Clean these bags with a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use brushes or work creams into the embossing. When in doubt, consult a professional.
