Knowledge & Quality

The Material
Behind the Bag

Every Myeisha bag begins with a decision: the right leather. Here you will learn what sets our materials apart — and why that choice matters so much.

Nubuck
Material 01

Nubuck

Velvety soft. Refined. Unmistakable.

Nubuck is a cowhide leather that has been lightly sanded on the grain side. This creates a characteristic, velvety surface that feels pleasantly soft to the touch — while giving the leather a natural depth of colour.

It is more durable than suede and develops a unique patina over time, making every bag truly one of a kind. Light and shadow play with its texture — the tone shifts subtly depending on the angle of view.

Nappa

Supple. Timeless. Luxurious.

Nappa refers to a particularly soft, full-grain smooth leather — typically from lamb or cowhide. Its smooth, subtly lustrous surface gives every bag an elegant, refined appearance.

Nappa is easy to care for, resists everyday marks and holds its shape reliably with daily use. It is the material for women who appreciate quality in every detail — without compromising on function.

Print Animal Design

Bold. Expressive. Handpicked.

Our Print Animal Design bags are crafted from genuine leather, embossed with distinctive animal patterns — zebra, leopard, snake. Not a print, but a true embossing that transforms the material itself.

Every pattern makes a statement. These bags are made for women who know exactly what they want — and are not afraid to stand out. Namibia’s wild beauty, carried on your arm.

General Leather Care

A Myeisha bag is an investment — in quality, in craftsmanship, in a piece of Namibia. With the right care, your bag will accompany you for a lifetime.

01

Protect from moisture

Leather and water do not mix well. If your bag gets wet, allow it to dry slowly at room temperature — never with a hair dryer or near a heater. Waterproofing sprays offer added protection, especially for nubuck.

02

Clean regularly

Remove dust and light dirt with a soft, slightly damp cloth. For nubuck, we recommend a specialist nubuck brush. Never use harsh cleaning agents or solvents of any kind.

03

Condition & nourish

Treat smooth leather (nappa) regularly with a high-quality leather cream or lotion. This keeps the leather supple and prevents dryness and cracking. For nubuck, please use nubuck-specific care products only.

04

Store correctly

Store your bag in a cool, dry place — ideally in a cloth dust bag, never in plastic. Lightly stuff the bag (e.g. with tissue paper) to help it retain its shape. Avoid direct sunlight and heat sources.

05

Treat stains immediately

When it comes to stains: act quickly. Dab — do not rub — with a clean, dry cloth. For stubborn stains, consult a professional leather cleaner. Never attempt to remove deep stains at home with household remedies.

06

Print Animal Design

Embossed animal designs require special care. Clean these bags with a soft, dry cloth only. Do not use brushes or work creams into the embossed areas. If in doubt, consult a leather specialist.
