This accessibility statement applies to the online shop at www.myeishanamibia.com, operated by Myeisha Vertriebsgesellschaft UG (haftungsbeschränkt), Alte Dorfstrasse 26, 70599 Stuttgart, Germany.

Our Understanding of Accessibility

We want every person — regardless of physical or technical circumstances — to be able to discover, understand, and purchase our products. Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox for us, but part of our commitment: to create a shopping experience that works for everyone.

Our shop has been developed in accordance with the Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) — the German Accessibility Strengthening Act — which has been mandatory for online shops since 28 June 2025. We use the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at conformance level AA and the European standard EN 301 549 as our reference.

What We Have Already Implemented

The following measures are actively in place in our shop:

Navigation & Structure: The shop includes skip links that allow keyboard users and screen readers to jump directly to the main content without navigating through the entire menu. All pages are built with a logical heading structure (H1, H2, H3).

Keyboard Navigation: All core functions — browsing products, adding items to the cart, and checking out — are fully operable via keyboard. Interactive elements have visible focus indicators.

Screen Reader Support: Product images are provided with descriptive alt texts. Forms, buttons, and interactive elements are equipped with ARIA labels so they can be correctly interpreted by assistive technologies.

Contrast & Readability: Text and interactive elements are designed with sufficient colour contrast. Font size can be freely scaled in the browser without breaking the layout.

Language Declaration: The language of each page is correctly declared in the code so that text-to-speech tools can read the content accurately.

Where We Are Still Working

We are a small, growing business — and accessibility is an ongoing process. The following areas are already being addressed:

Video Content: The product video on our homepage does not yet have subtitles or an audio description. We are working to add these.

Third-Party Content: Some content from third-party providers (e.g. embedded maps or social media content) is not fully within our control. We monitor developments from the respective providers.

Ongoing Reviews: We regularly review our shop for new accessibility issues, particularly after major content updates.
